Description
In 1986, the world’s most obviously awful atomic catastrophe happened at the Chernobyl power station. Soviet specialists laid out a 30km ‘Rejection Zone’ around this atomic no man’s land, yet in 2006 every subsequent blast shook the stricken reactor, decimating every single living thing and making the Zone’s limits swell outwards. From this focal point came rushes of changed animals, dangerous radiation, and an odd, strange energy. The Zone was cordoned off by the military, who might shoot immediately anybody adequately absurd to overcome the detestations inside.
It is currently 2012 – man has wandered endlessly further into the core of the Zone driven by reports of peculiar ‘antiques’ permeated with strange energy. Hired fighters and abundance trackers contend to recuperate these antiques, which order exploitative costs on the underground market. Others try to track down reality behind the Zone, while some simply revel in the ruined wilderness of the spot. Whatever their inspiration, after some time these people – Foragers, Intruders, Travelers, Mavericks, Executioner, Pilgrims and Burglars – have become known as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s.
Arousing in the Zone, you are one such S.T.A.L.K.E.R., battling for endurance in this man-made Heck, while attempting to find reality behind Chernobyl’s evil past and dismal future.
